Marinade Ingredients
500 g chicken fillets cut into strips 100 ml oil for deep frying Sesame seeds
Marination
2 tsp dark soy sauce
1 tbsp Harissa Paste
1 egg
1⁄2 cup all-purpose flour 1⁄4 cup corn flour
1 tbsp ginger & garlic paste 1 tsp crushed black pepper Salt to taste
For Sauce
2 tbsp oil
3 dry chillies
4 crushed cashew nuts
1 onion, sliced thinly
1 bell pepper, sliced thinly 1 tbsp ginger & garlic paste 1 – 1 1⁄2 tbsp Harissa Paste 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
1⁄4 cup tomato sauce
2 tsp sugar
3⁄4 cup water
Salt to taste

Method
Step One
Add chicken strips in a bowl with all marination ingredients. Mix well and let it marinate for 15 minutes. Heat oil for deep frying, add marinated chicken to pot and fry until golden brown for 10 minutes. Drain and set aside to cool.
Step Two
Add oil to frying pan. Add in dry red chilli and cashews and fry until the cashews turn golden brown. Add in onions and bell peppers and toss well in the oil. Add in ginger and garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Add in Harissa paste, dark soy sauce,
tomato sauce, salt, sugar, water and mix well. Cook this for 5-10 minutes, until the water evaporates and sauce thickens. Add in deep fried chicken and toss well in the sauce.
Add in chopped coriander or spring onion and mix well. Serve hot.
Serving Suggestion: Serve hot.
